I’ll be watching with you

Hey everybody,

I’m checking in with you tonight from Columbus, where I’m about to meet Connie, our children and grandchildren, Patrick my campaign manager, and other folks from my team to watch results come in.

Before we get into it, some important stuff:

Polls close tonight in Ohio at 7:30 pm ET. If you are in line, stay in line. You have a right to vote if you are in line at or before 7:30 pm.

There is a lot we will learn tonight, and we may not know the final result right away.

This isn’t a bad thing. It means our election workers are counting every vote, including mail in, overseas, and absentee ballots.

Just this weekend alone, thousands of new volunteers signed up to talk to voters and get them the information they need to go out and vote. That’s incredible. I’m so grateful.

You have been a huge support to me throughout the last 15 months.

I’ve held your stories close, and shared them. We’ve trained thousands of volunteers and nearly half a million people have made a donation to support this movement.

Every single vote we earn tonight means something powerful.

It means ordinary people believe we have the power to demand better. It means despite $320 million of Republican spending to attack me, Ohio voters didn’t buy it. They know my opponent and the Republicans have nothing real to say to people who are hurting – the people they said they’d help.

Every vote for us means someone decided our communities matter more than the greed of a few billionaires. That our kids and families here are more valuable than their endless wars over there. That helping Ohio is more important than protecting the powerful.

I’m really proud of that — I hope you are, too.

I’ll be watching with you. More as soon as we know it.

In solidarity,

Sherrod Brown

Before you click away!

Our resources are zeroed out. We’ve allocated every dollar that came in the door to reach voters before polls close tonight. That means our accounts will be empty (or maybe even a little in the red). That’s on purpose. But it’s also taking a big risk.

If the result is too close to call and Sherrod’s fight continues beyond tonight, we won’t have the resources we need to wage it. Outside groups have shown they’re willing to spend ungodly sums to buy this seat. We can only expect they’ll do the same with Senate control still on the line.

If you have the means and would like to help get out ahead of that, make a donation right now.
