JD Vance just came to Kansas

Friends,

A few days ago, a reporter asked me what I thought of President Trump coming to Kansas to rally for my opponent, Sen. Roger Marshall. I told him I took it as a compliment, because it suggests our opponents are so scared Marshall might lose this race that they sent the most powerful man in the country to try and save him.

Well, you know what? I think they’re still scared — because they doubled down, sending JD Vance to Kansas yesterday (for his second visit) to try and rally support for Marshall yet again. And news just broke that President Trump is returning again on Oct. 31.

They may think that a few fly-ins from the president and Vice President will distract Kansans from the skyrocketing gas costs, out-of-control grocery prices and soaring energy costs they’ve been forced to endure under Roger Marshall.

But as a fifth-generation Kansan, I know better — and I bet you do too.

I know the people of our great state are fed up and ready for change. I know they’re ready for a leader who puts THEM ahead of party bosses — who listens to them, thinks about ways to solve their problems and courageously fights to implement those solutions, even when doing so is hard.

Friends, I’ve listened to thousands of Kansans across the state talk about the challenges they’re facing. They’ve told me how betrayed they feel by Marshall turning his back on them. They know he’s nothing but a yes-man to his party and the president — and they’re suffering because of it.

I know Vance’s visit is another attempt by the Marshall’s allies to swoop in and prop up Roger Marshall. But I also know that Kansans can see right through their scheme.

Here’s the reality, though: Where the President and VP go, big money follows. The polls show this race is neck-and-neck and getting tighter every day. We’ve turned this into a toss-up race, and now, it all comes down to what we do in these final days. But GOP super PACs are pouring millions into this race — and with just a week to go until Election Day, their attacks could turn undecided and swing voters against me at the worst possible time.

That’s why, even though I know Kansans won’t be fooled by these visits, I also know we have to respond. We need to make sure our ads are in every living room in Kansas leading up to Election Day. We need to make sure our teams have the resources they need to knock on even more doors, make even more calls and put out even more yard signs. And we have to ensure every supporter has a plan to vote and knows what’s at stake here.

All of these things take an incredible amount of resources. But with the help of people like you and the more than 100,000 grassroots supporters who have invested in this campaign, I know we can do it. And we must: This race is too important to lose.

Friends, our opponents are running scared. Let’s show them they’re right to be afraid — and that their schemes won’t work. With just days until the election, please chip in anything you can to help us meet this moment, reach every voter and flip this seat.
