Ken Burns: Historic opportunity in Kansas

Hey, it’s Ken Burns.
I’m reaching out today because in this moment of deep division in our country — with extreme partisanship and callousness coming from Washington — it is my deep conviction that our nation needs Adam Hamilton in the U.S. Senate.
Will you join me in supporting Adam Hamilton’s Senate campaign?
I’m a student of history. I’ve studied our country’s triumphs, our deepest divides and the moments that defined who we are as a nation. We are approaching another such decisive moment this November.
Will our country choose the path of partisan division? Or will we elect leaders with the moral courage to unite us again?
Adam Hamilton is not a career politician; he’s a listener, first and foremost. For over 30 years, he has served his community as a pastor with courageous, compassionate and effective leadership. Like so many of our most impactful leaders, Adam has stepped up to run when he saw Kansans hurting under the heartless policies coming out of Washington.
In a political era dominated by partisan noise, Adam brings the bridge-building we so desperately need in the Senate. He’s focused on what actually matters: standing up for working people, lowering everyday costs and ending the chaos and corruption in Washington.
Right now, we have a historic opportunity in Kansas: Democrats haven’t won a Senate race in Kansas in nearly 100 years, but now, it’s a true electoral battleground, with experts calling this race a 50/50 toss-up.
But our history teaches that progress is never guaranteed. It is fought for, protected and renewed by people choosing to step up when the stakes could not be higher.
That’s why I’m asking you to step up today. It’s folks like you who make history. And especially in this tight Kansas race, it will come down to these final days before the election. So everyone must do their part. Our divisions will not heal themselves.
Adam and the movement building around his campaign give me hope. And that kind of hope — in better politics, in a better future, in a world where the people have the power — has always been the fuel of democracy.
Thank you for supporting Adam today.
